FAQs
What happens during my first appointment?
Your first session includes a full case history, physical assessment, and treatment if appropriate. We take time to understand your body, your symptoms, and your goals, so you feel informed and supported from day one.
Does osteopathy hurt?
Most treatments are very gentle. Occasionally you may feel mild soreness (like after a workout), but it usually eases within a day or two.
How many treatments will I need?
This depends on your condition and goals. Some people improve after one or two sessions, while others benefit from ongoing care. We’ll create a plan that works for you.
Is osteopathy safe?
Yes — osteopathy is a regulated and evidence-informed practice. Treatments are gentle, respectful, and tailored to you. We always explain what we’re doing and make sure you’re at ease.
Do you treat children and babies?
Yes! We offer gentle, age-appropriate osteopathy for children and babies (0–11 years). These sessions are designed to support comfort, development, and wellbeing.
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No referral is needed. You can book directly with us anytime — online or by phone.
What should I wear?
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. You may be asked to undress to your underwear so we can assess your posture and movement — but your comfort is always our priority.
Is parking available?
Yes, there’s a designated car park space at the clinic marked “Osteopath Parking Only” — just for our clients.
