What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is gentle, hands-on care that helps your body move more freely and feel more at ease.
It works with your body — not against it — to support healing, reduce pain, and restore balance.
Osteopathy was founded in the late 1800s by Dr. Andrew Taylor Still, a physician and visionary who believed the body works as a whole — and that if you “find it, fix it, and leave it alone,” the body will often do the rest on its own. That principle still guides the work we do today.
At Rosa Wellness Centre, osteopathy is not just about relieving pain — it is about helping you live better, move better, and feel your best.
Whether you are recovering from an injury, feeling the weight of daily tension, or just not quite yourself, osteopathy can help.
Every session is tailored to you, because no two bodies or stories are the same.
At Rosa Wellness Centre, we are here to listen, support, and help you feel your best — one treatment at a time.
Your First Appointment – Personalised Treatment Plans
Your first session is all about getting to know you. We will begin with a full case history — talking through your symptoms, lifestyle, and any relevant medical background. Then, we will carry out a gentle physical examination to understand how your body is moving and where there may be tension, restriction, or imbalance.
You may be asked to undress down to your underwear or wear loose, comfortable clothing so we can clearly assess your posture and movement. We always prioritise your comfort and explain everything as we go.
If it is appropriate, we will begin treatment in your first session using a range of hands-on techniques tailored to your needs — including soft tissue work, joint mobilisations, and gentle stretching.
The goal? To help relieve pain, restore movement, and support your body to feel its best — so you can get back to doing the things you love.
